MAGNAGLOBAL’s BRIAN MONAHAN HONORED WITH FIRST-EVER AD:TECH INNOVATOR AWARD

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, April 4, 2012 – MAGNAGLOBAL, the global media intelligence and investment arm of IPG Mediabrands, today announced that Brian Monahan, EVP, Managing Partner, MagnaGlobal Intelligence, has been honored with the first-ever Innovator Award, presented by ad:tech, the San Francisco Bay Area Innovation Group (sfBIG), and the San Francisco’s Mayor’s Office.
The Innovator Award, awarded for the first time this year, honors lifetime achievement and leadership in digital media, advertising and technology. Monahan will be honored at this week’s ad:tech San Francisco event following the closing keynote address.

He launched the interactive capability at Universal McCann SF and has led multinational and cross-platform ad campaigns for clients like Microsoft, Charles Schwab, Verizon, and Wells Fargo.
Prior to IPG, Brian founded Inrhythm Marketing – a pioneering analytics and optimization firm. He was a founding employee of Left Field, one of the first San Francisco-based digital ad agencies, and a co-founder the Bay Area Interactive Group. In 2011 Brian was inducted into the American Advertising Federation’s 40 & Under Hall of Achievement. Other industry accolades include “Internet Media Buyer of the Year” and “Media All Star”. He has also served on the agency advisory boards of Google, Yahoo, MSN, and AOL.
