The importance of virtual experiences to a brand has been propelled by the developments of 2020. The event industry has had to shift from in-person gathering to virtual events in a matter of weeks, with 93% of event professionals planning to invest in virtual events moving forward. In addition, brands are competing to catch consumers’ interest in attending virtual experiences.
Join us on Thursday, September 24th at 12noon PST to explore how COVID-19 has propelled the transformation, how to engage your audience in a meaningful way through online experiences, and predictions on the state of events moving into 2021.
In this panel we will be discussing:
CEO, PixelTitan LLC
Christopher has been around technology since the early eighties, where he spent a large portion of his misspent youth running around the halls of Atari and playing Asteroids. Since then he has worked on both the client and the agency side for companies such as Sun Microsystems, Cisco, Informix, and NEC, and at startups as a senior executive as well as a CEO. Over the last five years, he has worked with some of the largest companies in IoT and Connected Data, and has spoken at conferences and led panels with companies including Intel, Amazon, Samsung, Hitachi, and Accenture. Christopher is currently the CEO of PixelTitan, a startup focused on delivering unstructured data at scale.
Our first panelist is Michelle Excel
Creative Technology Strategist, CEO, The Antipodean Collective
The Antipodean helps brands and agencies develop innovation strategies, campaigns, and platforms with a focus on immersive technology. Before starting The Antipodean in 2016, Michelle spent almost 15 years leading digital transformation and production at digital and traditional agencies.
The Antipodean operates from a belief that immersive technologies are inherently experiential and allow us greater engagement with consumers, fans, and even our own employees. We know that every brand can find value in augmented and virtual realities, AI, voice, audio, and IoT. We help companies take the right first step or course-correct.
Recent events have turned a spotlight to everything “virtual” and how we can help people connect and experience, whether that experience is entertaining or useful. We are excited to discuss exciting new opportunities and share our thoughts on which should become best practices.
Our next panelist is David Boyll
Senior Director, Group Lead, Oracle Studios
David Boyll is Group Director at Oracle Studios. There they solve problems at the intersection of business, creative, IT, and development, help marketers market, and help creators create. David uses the principal media infrastructure Program and Strategy Liaison with IT. Cultivates and maintains Strategic IT, Product Development, Partner, and Supplier relationships. Best Practices and Processes, Solution Strategy, and Capability Planning. Corporate Standards and Policy compliance.
Prior to joining Oracle in 2007, David was a freelance Sole Proprietor for over two decades in video and film production. His clients were Fortune 500 companies, TV Networks, Agencies, and Production Companies. David’s worked thousands of production days on almost every imaginable kind of Commercial, Infomercial, Feature, Corporate/Industrial, and Documentary production. He’s got plenty of stories to tell and enjoys telling them. He also enjoys listening.
This is a must-see event, as we will be laying the groundwork to making the best virtual events for the coming quarter and beyond! With a group of expert panelists, we hope that when this is over you will have the resources and knowledge to make a virtual event as big of a hit as anything that would be done in person!
Our Final Panelist is Helena Öhman
Vice President of Production, Edelman
Helena Öhman has spent most of her career leading and realizing integrated campaign work for a wide span of clients, with innovation at its core. Her expertise lays in discovering new paths to reach audiences in meaningful, engaging, ways in order to solve business problems – no matter how unexplored the path may be. Helena is a transplant from Edelman Deportivo, Sweden, where she led award-winning work for UNICEF, Hövding, and various lifestyle and tech clients as the creative hub’s Head of Studio. She is now VP of Production at Edelman San Francisco and board member of SF Big.
