Now What? Navigating Job Loss & Career Changes

Many have felt the wrath of the recent events that have left millions without jobs. As a result, many are scrambling to find a replacement position or a new career path for them. Join us this Thursday, April 23rd for a NEW Lunch & Learn on opportunities to get ahead and learn from some amazing professionals.

This rich discussion will be lead by a diverse panel of personnel with experience in strategy, talent acquisition, and professional resume writing. This will be a great time to evaluate your career and properly strategize how to move forward with assurance that you are doing what you would like to do in the workforce!

Russel Herring: Strategy Source – Co-Founder, Partner

Russell started his career in real estate, but soon discovered that his passion wasn’t in property — it was working with people. He set out to change his career path by working for two notable Atlanta recruiting firms over the span of four years. After gaining insight on how to make long-lasting employment matches, Russell set sail on his own and founded Strategy Source.

With a background in placements for traditional recruiting verticals like manufacturing, engineering, finance, and accounting, Russell knew he wanted to pursue a new niche. He noticed a lot of new digital companies forming in Atlanta without effective strategies for recruiting top talent. This sparked the beginnings of Strategy Source, the first executive search firm in Atlanta with a digital specialty.

Not long after launch, Russell dove into digital media sales works, where he met now-partner, Laura Lasiter. Together, this partnership has achieved over 1000% growth in revenues and manages a team of recruiters nationally across six major markets.

Russell is a husband, a father of four kids, an avid Auburn football fan, and a man who is most happy on a saltwater fishing boat.

Paul Flannigan: Founder – Masterpiece Sales & Leadership Consulting

Over the course of my career, I have developed expertise in sales, leadership and most recently executive support and guidance through my consulting practice. I believe that every organization’s most valuable resource is the people who choose to invest a portion of their life to serve their customers. And that it is the leader’s responsibility to know these people and create the optimal environments for their growth and increasing contribution.

I study the effects of systems and theories on people. And I am driven to help individuals identify their unique strengths and weaknesses, understand how they fit into the goals and objectives of the company and then implement personal growth plans to build sustainable high performance.

I absolutely love sales and have been acknowledged for my ability to consistently exceed performance expectations and grow markets aggressively. Winning the rookie of the year award with Cendant and growing revenue with Microsoft’s digital media team from $250,000 to $14 million from 2000 through 2005.

I have been honored to learn and grow as a sales leader in a variety of roles with Microsoft and Yahoo in the rapidly advancing digital media and technology space. While I am grateful for all the lessons learned during these years it has been my executive consulting work that has challenged me the most and enabled tremendous growth. Masterpiece Sales and Leadership is dedicated to supporting leaders by connecting with and understanding the unique gifts and passions of people and then building personalized development plans that honor each person and connect them with the corporate mission to create exceptional business results.

My wife Maria and I are devoted to helping teens overcome addiction problems and discover their true identities. We also have a prison ministry and support and families fighting childhood cancer.
