Meet Our All Star Panel & Moderator

Paula Mangin – Owner, Boyce Mangin

Paula is a founding partner of Boyce: Mangin, a successful strategic media planning and buying consultancy that functions similar to a creative team, working with clients and/or agencies to develop strategies and plans, bringing in the best resources to help execute their vision as necessary. They worked with everybody from Google, Facebook and Roku, to Dr. Martens, Levi’s, and Lucky Brand Jeans. Current clients include Stanford Children’s Health, Yogi Tea, Pandora (music, not jewelry), Duckhorn Vineyards and Schedulicity.

In her spare time, Paula blogs about style for Blank Stare, Blink(a site she co-founded), and is a fashion illustrator/urban sketcher who held her first gallery show a few years back. Most evenings and weekends find her doing yoga headstands, playing tennis, and baking pies. Up until last year, she also held the world record for drawing Fred Flintstone the fastest. This is not a joke.

Her favorite podcasts are The Daily, Pod Save America (also love their merch!) and Bitch Sesh. She and “Boyce”, her business partner, have been making noises about starting their own podcast; they recently purchased the URL, whatscrappening.com. Where they plan to talk shit. This is also not a joke.

Matt Turck – CRO, Megaphone

Matt Turck is a co-founder and Chief Revenue Officer of Megaphone, launched in February 2015.

Matt was an early experimenter in podcast advertising, starting when Audible sponsored Slate’s Political Gabfest in 2008. He oversaw the development of the industry’s first branded podcasts, partnering with HBO Documentaries in March of 2015. Matt also was instrumental in creating GE Podcast Theater (The Message & LifeAfter), which is still considered the most successful branded podcast program, as it held the #1 position in Apple Podcasts for several weeks.

Today, Matt and Megaphone are pioneering the digital transformation of podcast advertising. Megaphone introduced audience targeting at scale, bringing data, measurement and other digital tools to the podcasting space through Megaphone’s proprietary technology.

Prior to joining Megaphone, Matt was the Publisher of Slate, where he helped build original digital journalism into a sustainably profitable business.  He spent 20 years with Time Incorporated, holding several prominent positions, including Publisher/President of This Old House and Associate Publisher of Time magazine.

A native of Michigan and a graduate of Michigan State University, Matt married the former miss Anneliese Lodge. He lives his dream (and hopefully his family’s dream), spending time in Manhattan while residing in Sun Valley with Anneliese, their two children, fly rod, mountain bike, skis and, of course, his Labrador Retriever, Tug.
