Meet Andy Hudspeath
What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Honestly? I love any moment I can take a breath, take a look around, and cherish the people in my life. Whether that’s noticing my dog and fiancé on a Sunday morning or my team at 8PM in the office when we’re finishing a project. That moment of recognition makes me really happy.
What are the qualities you look for in hiring people?
I look for something weird. Nothing specific, per se. Any role I need to fill is going to have traits, attributes and experiences that are table stakes. It’s the little bit of weird, the quirky extra personality that someone brings with them that usually makes them successful.
What living person(s) do you most admire?
Barack Obama. God I miss him.
What’s the best advice you ever received?
Eat the frog first! It’s a silly saying that means to tackle the ugly/difficult task first. Don’t put off the big stuff.
What are the times you try and stay off your phone?
This one keeps getting harder! I try to stay off my phone during meals with people and when I’m on the softball field. Distractions aren’t helpful when you’re trying to connect with people around you or trying to focus and preform.
What is the app you wish someone would invent?
If I told you, I wouldn’t get the jump on the market!
What gets you excited about our business in 2020?
I’m energized by the conversation happening around data, privacy, and what it means for marketing. I believe that data-informed marketing is inherently good. We just need to create the structures and guardrails that instill confidence in the public so we can continue to evolve the practice.
