We are all primary numbers divisible only by ourselves. We are all multiple personalities, sanity being the knack for settling on one spokesperson.
A person often meets his destiny on the road he took to avoid it. Last I heard from my destiny, it wanted me to go one-quarter mile and make a legal U-Turn.
I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community and as long as I live, it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can. I want to be thoroughly used up when I die, for the harder I work the more I live. If you think you are too small to be effective, you have never been in bed with a mosquito.
The purpose of life is not to be happy — but to matter, to be productive, to be useful, to have it make some difference that you have lived at all. A snowflake is one of God’s most fragile creations, but look what they can do when they stick together!
For attractive lips, speak words of kindness.
For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people.
For a good figure, share your food with the hungry.
For good hair, let a child run his fingers through it once a day.
For poise, walk with the knowledge that you will never walk alone.
Experience has taught me this, that we undo ourselves by impatience. Misfortunes have their life and their limits, their sickness and their health. Patience is the ability to count down before you blast off.
The best kind of friend is the one you could sit on a porch with, never saying a word, and walk away feeling like that was the best conversation you’ve had. Silences make the real conversations between friends. Not the saying but the never needing to say is what counts.
I’m not afraid of death. It’s the stake one puts up in order to play the game of life. The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A many who lives full is prepared to die at any time.
I wouldn’t mind dying — it’s the business of having to stay dead that scares the [$hit] out of me. Death is life’s way of telling you you’re fired.
Be bold enough to use your voice, brave enough to listen to your heart, and strong enough to live the life you’ve always imagined.
What you do everyday matters more than what you do every once in awhile.
The longer you live in the past, the less future you have to enjoy. No matter how dirty your past is, your future is spotless
What you do today is important because you are exchanging a day of your life for your life for it.
Life is like a camera. Just focus on what’s important, capture the good times, develop from the negatives, and if things don’t turn out — take another shot
I wanted a perfect ending. Now I’ve learned the hard way that some poems don’t rhyme, and some stories don’t have a clear beginning, middle or end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking a moment and making the best of it without knowing what’s to happen next.
“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions down out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your hearts and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary. ” Steve Jobs
I am afraid of not living more than I am afraid of living wrong. Remember in Life to live simply and love fiercly.
“We’ve learned how to destroy, but not to create; how to waste, but not to build; how to kill men, but not how to save them: how to die, but seldom how to live.” General Omar Bradley
“The best things in life are free. The second best are very expensive.” Coco Chanel
Life is like a party. You invite a lot of people; some go, some join you, some laugh with you some didn’t come. But in the end, after the fun, there would be a few who would clean up the mess with you. And most of the time, those were the uninvited ones.
